Amy GiaQuinto
Amy 's passion for her work is obvious from the moment you meet her. She loves what she does and part of what she enjoys is the variety of clientele she works with, from athletes to the unconditioned, from young to the mature. If one suffers from a particular health-related issue such as, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, osteopenia/osteoporosis, arthritis and/or other joint, muscular and/or immune system disorders, they will feel safe, informed, empowered, educated and optimistic as they begin to see and feel positive changes. Amy's contagious optimism encourages even those who claim to dislike physical exertion. Her desire and enthusiasm to "practice what she preaches" and always bring the best and most cutting edge research and techniques to her clients is nurtured through the constant continuing education seminars, conferences and workshops she attends regularly.
Growing up on Cape Cod, Amy graduated from Nauset Regional High School where she captained both the varsity tennis and soccer teams and was a member of the swim team. After high school Amy went on to the University of Vermont (UVM) where she graduate as a National Collegiate Scholar, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Management. There she played on the NCAA Women's Division I Varsity Tennis Team. Amy's certifications and training are many and include a personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Pilates training and certifications through Balanced Body University (BBU) and the Pilates Institute of America (PIA). Amy has also had the opportunity to train with Lolita San Miguel, one of only two Pilates Elders certified by Joseph Pilates himself. In 2007, Amy was the first woman to pass the Art of Strength Kettlebell Essentials test certifying her as a Kettlebell Instructor.
While participating in several fitness and health facilities while living in Burlington, Vermont, New Zealand and Boulder, Colorado, Amy saw a need for more personalized care on Cape Cod for individuals interested in fitness. She saw the importance of a more intimate, comfortable, encouraging, private and supportive environment. She began to realize that more and more people wanted better health, but not everyone felt comfortable in a large gym or health club. Some people had been active for so long that they were either bored with what they were doing or not sure how to progress. For others, the thought of entering a health club caused anxiety. Amy wanted to create an atmosphere where not only the fit could benefit, but even the most intimidated individuals would feel supported and encouraged – a place where everyone can thrive. In 2003, Personalized Fitness Solutions was born.

Finding the joy in both study and sport, Carrie was a high school honor student and dedicated varsity athlete in her hometown of Rye, NY. Carrie's love of the natural world inspired her to study environmental science at the University of Vermont where she earned her Bachelor of Science in 2003. Carrie spent her senior year of college documenting rare and endangered species in the Montane Cloud Forests of Ecuador. Carrie traversed miles of rugged terrain throughout the Andean Mountains, each day, in efforts to conserve some of the worlds most biodiverse lands.
